Dancing On Ice Star Tippy Packard Exits Show Due to Knee Injury
Dancing on Ice professional skater Tippy Packard has recently opened up about her sudden exit from the popular ITV show, citing a knee injury as the reason for her departure. The 28-year-old shared the news on Instagram, expressing her sadness over missing the rest of the season.
In her statement, Tippy revealed that a knee injury in late November led to her decision to withdraw from the competition. She explained that, as her partner Eddie was already adjusting to skating and learning to partner just weeks into training, it was deemed best for Eddie to continue without her.
Tippy had been partnered with iconic sportsman Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards. Despite having to pull out of the show, she expressed her confidence that Eddie would impress everyone with his skills. Tippy also urged fans to support Eddie and his new partner, Vicky Ogden, describing them as fantastic individuals who would undoubtedly put on a remarkable show.
The professional skater, who has been part of Dancing on Ice since 2022, shared her appreciation for the weeks she spent training with Eddie, forming memories, and getting to know him personally. She thanked her family and friends for their support during this difficult time and expressed gratitude for those who helped her stay positive through the recovery process.
Tippy concluded her post by mentioning that she is already back on the ice and recovering quickly. She thanked her physio for the assistance and expressed anticipation for new opportunities on the horizon.
Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards, now paired with Vicky Ogden, replaces Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb, who dropped out due to a broken ankle. Eddie, 60, conveyed his excitement about participating in the show, acknowledging it as a challenge he looks forward to relishing.
